How does a scented candle work?
When you have a scented candle in your home, you naturally want it to work properly. There are some steps you can follow to prevent the product from not smelling right or burning up incorrectly.
Here's how to burn a scented candle:
- Step 1: burn the scented candle (the first time you use it) for 1 to 2 hours and check carefully whether the entire top layer has melted. This ensures that the scent is properly activated and prevents craters.
- Step 2: when you have done the first step and you want to light the scented candle again, don't burn it longer than 3 hours. This is because this top layer will remain scented for a long time.
- Step 3: if necessary, when you have blown out the candle, put the wick back in the middle.
